Our 1912 Golden Blue is deliciously creamy with mellow blue undertones. This vibrant cheese is a rich orange colour, with natural extract from the berry on the achiote tree, originally discovered in South America. It has distinctive blue veining with a mellow and tangy taste, making it an ideal introduction to Blue Cheese. Each cheese is turned by hand and matured under the close love and care of our Master Cheesemakers.
Our dairy cows are cared for to the highest welfare standards, spending on average 180 days grazing outside each year - the rest of the time, like people, they prefer to avoid the rain! We source milk locally, from three neighbouring counties, cutting down our road miles.
Our 1912 Golden Blue is made with milk sourced locally from our farmer's cooperative. By buying this beautiful blue cheese you are supporting the 30 British farmers who own our business, all of whom are within 30 miles of the dairy.
