Intense ruby-red; clean and bright, with garnet hues on the rim. Typical Tempranillo aromas of dark berries, violets and liquorice accompanied by the spicy notes from oak ageing (vanilla, roast coffee). In the mouth it deploys its full potential as a fresh, expressive wine that proves well-balanced and pleasant.
History
Founded in 1901 in the town of Haros legendary Station Quarter, Bodegas Bilbanas is the longest-standing bottling winery in Rioja. It also has the most extensive underground cellars in the region and a greater area of vineyards than any other winery in the town: 250 hectares of high quality vines, which supply the winery with its own grapes, ensuring that they can be processed quickly without losing their qualities.
Regional Information
Via Pomal Organic is produced using grapes from 17 hectares of vineyards situated in Haro with organic viticulture certification. They are grown using environmentally friendly practices applying only natural products authorised for organic viticulture.
Vinification Details
Nine months ageing in American oak barrels provide the complexity and maturity needed to round off this wines light and fruity expression.
