When the O.F.C distillery was opened in 1870 by Colonel E.H. Taylor Jr., it was the most innovative of its time – using state-of-the-art copper fermentation vats, column stills and a first-of-its-kind steam heating system, which is still in use to this day. The bourbon of the same name pays homage to the historic landmark – now known as Buffalo Trace distillery – with this 1993 vintage characterised by a caramel, smoked-oak and cherry cordial nose.
