Preparation and Usage
Simply mix the ingredients, roll and cut and cook and enjoy a wonderful 'free from treat'!

What You'll Need:
1 Large Egg
45ml Vegetable Oil (we would recommend sunflower or rapeseed oil)
150ml Milk (Use a plant based milk if preferred - plus some extra milk to brush the scones before they go into the oven)
1 Rolling Pin
14 cm Cutter
2 Baking Trays (35cm x 24.5cm x 2.5cm or bake 2 batches of 6)
Extra Flour (for rolling)
Cooking Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 230c | 220c (fan) | Gas Mark 7
2. Empty the contents of your Free and Easy Scone Mix in a bowl, add the egg, oil and milk and stir until the mix comes together
3. Turn out onto a lightly dusted surface and roll with a rolling pin which has also been lightly dusted, roll out to the thickness of 2cm and cut with your cutter
4. Place scones on the prepared baking tray, and brush with milk. Place the tray in the oven and bake for 10 minutes (cooking times vary a little depending on your oven). They are ready when they are golden brown on top and when you tap the base of the scone
it sounds hollow.
5. Cool for a while and dive in!
To Make the Perfect Vegan Scone:
45ml Vegetable Oil
(we would recommend sunflower or rapeseed oil)
210ml Plant Based Milk
Add the alternative milk and oil. Prepare as per the other instructions. The mix already contains a vegan egg replacer to help it rise, and will work well to make it a 100% vegan Scone. Although slightly less fluffy.Package Type
