Tasting Notes
A rich bouquet, with scents of red berry fruits, blackcurrants and blackberries, perfectly melded with attractive vanilla notes. Soft yet well-structured, with hints of wild berry fruits (especially raspberries and blackberries) and spices.

History
This ancient Estate consists of 320 hectares of land, of which 180 have been newly planted with vines : it now represents one of the largest winemaking investments made by the Zonin family, which bought it in 1997.

Regional Information
Feudo Principi di Butera is situated within the Riesi D.O.C. area, in the Province of Caltanissetta, in the heart of Sicily, which is recognised today as one of the best wine making regions in Italy thanks above all to its production of high quality, prestigious red wines.

Vinification Details
The must fermented for 2 weeks in vertical vinification tanks (using the submerged cap system) at a controlled temperature of 30C (86F). The wine matured for 12 months, 50% in 350 liter (92 gallon) tonneaux and 50% in 60 hectoliter (1,320 gallon) oak barrels, followed by a further period of bottle ageing.
