From the pioneers of Southern Italian Appassimento, Vallone crafts this wine from 100% Negroamaro grapes grown on their estate in sunny Puglia. The berries are late-harvested, left to dry naturally on the vine, before being pressed and vinified.
Tasting Notes:
Deep in colour with a hint of orange on the rim. Mixed aromas of black berries, ripe plums and prunes with hints of medicinal herbs and liquorice. The palate is rich with a fine line of acidity running throughout. Smooth tannins are plentiful, finishing long and sweet with a drying bitter twist.
Serving Suggestion:
Pairs well with pasta in rich sauces, stews, and barbecued food.
