Towel dry and detangle the hair.
Always use Keratin Smooth Heat Protect Spray before heat styling your hair. Our spray helps to create a barrier against the damage of blow-drying, straightening and heat curling up to 230°C. Giving you the perfect base to start styling.
Dry hair as normal.
Always ensure your hair is completely dry before using the styler. Never use the styler on wet hair.
Plug the styler into a suitable mains socket and slide the switch to one of the heat settings to turn the styler on. The on indicator light will illuminate.
There are three heat settings: - Use setting ‘I’ for fine, damaged or coloured hair - Use setting ‘II’ for medium hair - Use setting ‘III’ for thicker coarse hair.
Allow the styler to heat up for 15 seconds. Allow slightly longer if using on the higher temperature settings.
After use, slide the switch to the ‘0’ position to switch off and unplug the styler. Immediately wrap the appliance in the heat mat provided.
Straightening
Comb through dry hair and divide in to sections. Take a section of hair and place between the styler plates and close together.
Slide the styler slowly and evenly along the section.
As the styler reaches towards the end of the hair section, turn the styler under to add shape to your style.
Allow the hair to cool before combing through.
Curling
Slide the styler a short distance along the section of hair and turn the styler back on itself 180 degrees.
In one smooth action, slowly slide the styler, along the hair towards the ends.
Once through the entire length of hair, twirl the section around your fingers and leave to cool in the ringlet you have formed.
Once the curl has cooled down, break up the curls using your fingertips and style as required.
If you use smaller sections and slide the styler slower through the hair, the curl result will be tighter.
Do not try to curl a section bigger than one inch wide. Waves
When making a wave, work horizontally to the head, but lift the hair up and away from the scalp.
Place a section of hair between the styler plates and close together. Slide the styler slightly away from the scalp.
Turn the styler back on itself 180 degrees.
In one smooth action, slide the styler through the entire length of hair.
Finish each wave by twirling it around your fingers and allow to cool before you dress the finished look.
If you use bigger sections and slide the styler faster through the hair, the looser the wave will be.
General tips
Clip unwanted hair out of the way and make sure each section is tangle free before you begin styling.
