Cooking Instructions - General. (250g Serves 4)
Put rice into sieve and rinse thoroughly in plenty of cold water. Allow to drain and then cook in one of the following ways;; Hob - From Ambient. Saucepan:
- Put 250g (8oz) rice into a saucepan with 600ml (1 pint) of cold water and salt if required.
- Bring to the boil, cover with a lid and reduce heat to simmer for 12 minutes or until all of the water has been absorbed; stand for 2 minutes before serving. Drain and rinse with boiling water, drain again and serve.; Microwave - From Ambient. Method timings are for an 800 watt /Cat E oven, for other ovens refer to manufacturers handbook.
- Put 250g (8oz) rice in a deep non-metallic bowl with 600ml of boiling water and salt if required.
- Cover with microwave film, cut a few vents in the film.
- Cook on full power for 12 minutes; stand for 5 minutes before serving. Drain and rinse with boiling water, drain again and serve.
