History: This is a rich, ripe and fruity Merlot produced from grapes frown in the Western Cape region of South Africa.
Regional information: The Western Cape is the hub of South Africa's wine production, with individual growing areas producing a wide variety of wine styles. The hot, dry climate produces rich, concentrated styles which remain balanced thanks to cooling Atlantic breezes.
Vinification: After harvest, the grapes were carefully fermented in stainless steel tanks to preserve the fresh fruit character. The wine then underwent French oak treatment for 3 months before bottling.
