It all began with Santa Margherita, the heart and cornerstone of our wine mosaic. This was a family affair, focused on the dream of one man: the founder, Gaetano Marzotto. His vision: respect of the land, which plays an important role in the quality of the wine; and respect for the people, their passion, and their hard work. Santa Margherita has innovation, exploration, an creativity in its blood, and has always adapted to the changes in taste that have occurred in the last sixty years of Italian wine.

Regional Information
Along the Brescia shore of Lake Garda, between Desenzano and Salò, lies the Valtenesi, an area in the heart of the unique and extensive Riviera del Garda Classico DOC which includes the different towns spread along the western shore of Lake Garda, in the province of Brescia. This is a region lapped by the lake, which gives it all of its unique and particular characteristics: long hot summers, short mild winters, light rains and delicate breezes that caress the luxuriant vineyards.

Vinification Details
Grapes are harvested at the right point of ripeness and soft pressed. The must is fermented in steel casks for 12 to 15 days at a temperature of 14 - 16°C. The wine is left for an appropriate amount of time to rest on the fine lees until early spring then bottled and left to age further.
