This full-bodied red is elegant and complex with richly concentrated notes of luscious plum and juicy black cherry. The intense fruit flavours are balanced by a fresh acidity and hints of spicy black pepper on the finish.
Calatayud is a rugged wine region within Aragon in north-eastern Spain and has a long history of growing Garnacha. This wine is made from grapes grown on old vines over 35 years old - the gnarly vines push their roots deep into the soil and produce fewer grapes with great concentration of flavour. Spanish wine expert Norrel Robertson MW has channelled his 20 years of winemaking experience into creating this richly complex red.
