Hydrocolliod blister plasters stay in place and protect against rubbing. The hydrocolloid interacts with the natural secretions of the skin to create and environment around the wound to speed up the healing process and reduce pain.

Always wash hands before and after treating a wound 

• Clean and dry the blister area. 

• Before removing from the backing paper warm the blister dressing in your hands for one minute. This will help to assist adhesion when placed on the skin. 

• Remove from backing paper and apply the dressing centrally over the blister and hold in place until firmly adhered, be careful not to touch the adhesive. 

• Leave the blister dressing in place until it loosens (this may be several days) then carefully remove. Re-apply a new dressing if necessary. Should you wish to remove the dressing earlier, it is advisable to loosen it in warm soapy water first to protect new skin.
