A traditional herbal medicine used for the prevention of migraine headaches, based on traditional use.
Feverfew is sometimes referred to as the ‘big chamomile’. It is a member of the Daisy family, and is also known as Tanacetum parthenium or Chrysanthemum parthenium. Feverfew is native to Eurasia, but cultivation of the plant has spread throughout Europe, North America and Chile. The name Feverfew means ‘fever reducer’ based on its use as a medicine by the Ancient Egyptians and Greeks, although it is no longer considered useful for this purpose, the name remains.
