Preparation and Usage
-145g Butter
-270ml milk
1) Prepare ingredients and brush a 20cm cake mould with melted butter. In a large bowl, whisk 220ml warm milk* with 65ml melted butter. Sprinkle yeast evenly, let it sit for 1 minute.
*For non-vegan dough, add 200ml milk and an egg yolk.
2) In another bowl, empty the pastry flour sachet, set aside 5 tablespoons, add optional salt, and create a well. Pour in the wet mix, stir until just combined. Cover, let rise for 1 hour.
3) Preheat oven to 180˚C. After an hour, remove the towel. Turn out onto a well-floured surface, roll into a 1cm thick, 30x20cm rectangle.
4) Spread 85g softened butter evenly over the dough. Sprinkle sachets of cinnamon sugar on top. Roll up the dough, pinch the seam, trim unevenness. Cut into 7 pieces. Place in the cake mould, cover, rise for 30 minutes.
5) Whisk powdered sugar with 50ml milk for icing. Remove the tea towel, bake at 180˚C for 25-30 minutes. While warm, drizzle evenly with frosting. Enjoy!
Tip: Alternatively, make cream cheese and butter frosting by whipping 30g soft butter and 70g cream cheese, gradually adding in icing sugar until fluffy. Speed up dough rising by preheating the oven to 70°C, turning it off, and placing the covered bowl inside with a slightly open door. After 30 minutes, close the door to trap warm air, aiding faster dough expansion.Package Type
