Wine of South East Australia
Gluten Free
Bob travelled thousands of miles across the railways of Australia and whilst a masterless dog he was a faithful companion to many train drivers and engineers along the way. Like Bob, our wine is inspired by friendship and destined for exploration. We have created a Shiraz that is humble to its Australian roots, loyal to flavour and a real crowd pleaser. A fruity, approachable Shiraz with juicy plum fruit and berry flavours leading to a long, satisfying finish.
Bob was a masterless dog, who travelled thousands of miles as a faithful companion to many train drivers and engineers. Like Bob, our wine is inspired by friendship and destined for exploration. From the fertile soil, to enhancing the finest fruits through fermentation, we have created a wine that is humble to its roots of South Australia and loyal to flavour.
The nose is spicy and silky with plum blackberries and hints of rich dark chocolate leading to a long satisfying finish. A medium-light bodied wine with juicy blackcurrant that flows through the palate supported by subtle oak char and soft tannins. This makes it a great wine for everyday dishes such as pizza, pasta, antipasti, charcuterie and cheese boards. This is a great wine to enjoy every day but it's also an amazing gift for any animal lover.
The relationship we have with dogs is unique. It is unwavering, uncompromising and unconditional. And it couldn't be truer of the ever-faithful winery dog - you know what they say - behind every good winemaker is a good winery dog!
Leaps & Bounds celebrates every canine achievement, whether saving the day or curling up by our feet, and we are inspired by our trusted companions to create a wine that speaks louder than words. It's time to honour the dogs of the world and shine a spotlight those that deserve it. They are all bright, characterful and remarkable, and our wine is no different.
We are inquisitive in creation. We are bold with flavour. We are loyal to nature. So, follow your nose, meet some of the world's best friends and Australia's best wines.
Our winery recently became the first wine company in the country to reach 100% renewable electricity. 20% of our annual electricity usage is solar, and the remaining 80% of our electricity requirements are from renewable sources.
