This marriage of casks creates a rich, full bodied flavour with notes of Manuka honey, bacon and maple syrup alongside the classic smoke, seaweed and hint of salt that Laphroaig® is known and loved for. Laphroaig®, meaning "Beautiful hollow by the broad bay" has married malted barley with smoke from our native peat to produce one of the most richly flavoured of all Scotch whiskies since 1815. Distilled on the tiny island of Islay off the west coast of Scotland the flavour is as untamed as the island itself.
