History
Lagunilla is one of the oldest and finest names in Rioja. Don Felipe Lagunilla San Martin founded this Bodega in 1885. The quality of the Lagunilla wines and many others owe much to his pioneering work in defeating Phylloxera which hit the region in the 1870's. It was he who recommended the use and introduction of American rootstocks to the Rioja vineyards.

Regional Information
Known for its consistent quality and range of wines, Lagunilla is at the forefront of modern wine-making technology whilst at the same time mindful of the tradition and history that has made Rioja one of the classic wine regions of the world.

Vinification Details
The must is fermented at maximum temperature of 28 °C. After fermentation, the wine is transferred into oak casks to slowly mature for 12 months, followed by a further 12 months ageing in bottle prior to its release.
