History
Quinta da Calcada is in the heart of the Vinho Verde region in Amarante. Family owned by the da Mota family and dating back to 1917, the winery is one of the oldestproducers of Vinho Verde, with a focus on high quality white wines and sparkling.

Regional Information
The Amarante region where we have our vineyards is located at 450m above sea level with mountainous viticulture and high density planting. Ous soils are composed essencially of granite with some mixtures of schist bringing a special minerality to the wines.

2018

Vinification Details
The previously selected grapes were de-stemmed and slightly pressed. The extracted juice is decanted by gravity. It was then fermented in stainless steel vats with temperature control during approximately 15 days. Before bottling the wine is filtered and stabilized
