History
Lacheteau is first and foremost a family business founded by Andr Lacheteau in 1987, based in Anjou. With the support of his wife and son, Andr has built a reputation which stretches far beyond the French borders. Thanks to his dynamism, motivation and passion for the Loire terroirs, he has made a name for himself worldwide.
Regional Information
The Pays Nantais vineyards extend to the south and east of Nantes, and from the Atlantic coast to Ancenis. To the south of the Loire-Atlantique departement, they overlap slightly into the Vende and Maine-et-Loire. Between the mildness of Anjou and the ocean freshness, the vines are planted on shales, granites and loamy soils. Widely varying weather conditions give each vintage its own specific character, Muscadet being the mostwell known of all.

Vinification Details
The grapes are picked and pressed with great care so as
to prevent the juices from oxidising. Fairly harsh racking
of the must. Fermentation at low temperature to develop
the aromas. Ageing on fine lees in order to increase the
aromatic potential and give it more body.
