Mia Moscato from Freixenet is a charming sparkling wine with elegant bubbles, subtle white flower aromas and hints of peach and ripe apricot on the mouth.
With a balance between sweetness, acidity and the lower alcohol content of 7%, it makes an ideal aperitif and also pairs perfectly with deserts, summer salads and cheese courses.

Storage

Sparkling wines and Champagne should always be stored in a cool and dry place away from light and heat sources. The ideal temperature for storage is 13-15 degrees C.    

Warning: Sparkling wines contain high natural pressure. Do not allow bottles to get warm. Chill bottle before opening and avoid shaking. Point bottle away from others and yourself when removing wire, hood and cork. Hold the cork firmly and twist out slowly by hand. Never in any circumstances use a corkscrew to open.

History

The 100% Moscatel grape variety is harvested from the sunny Mediterranean within Spain.

Vinification Details
From the fresh must of Moscatel grapes, alcoholic fermentation starts slowly until we reach 5-5,5% alc in open tanks. The tanks are then closed to start a second part, with a much lower speed thanks to a lesser T ª fermentation. When the wine reached 7% alc we stop the fermentation with a sudden drop in T ª (-1C º). The wine is then filtered to remove remaining yeasts and transferred to the final tank.
