Furmint is grown almost exclusively in Hungary, first plantings being recorded in 16th century. More often famous for its sweet styles, the grape also produces wonderfully aromatic dry wines. This example is crafted by Chateau Dereszla exclusively for M&S in their fully modernised historic cellars, first mentioned in 1406. A perfect match for seafood, winemaker Bai Istv n recommends pairing it local Hal szl , fishermans soup. Best enjoyed chilled within 2 years of purchase.
