History
Baron Philippe de Rothschild have been making wine in Chile since the 1900s. Long before other European winemakers had seen the perfection in land and climate that Chile offered, Baron Philippe set about making wines as perfect as his Bordeaux, in the heart of South America.

Regional Information
This wine comes from the Valle de Casablanca, situated near the Pacific Coast 80 km north west of Santiago. The ocean influence is very strong, helping to regulate the temperature. It is ideal country for white wine grape varieties, especially Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.

Vinification Details
Everything is done to preserve the fruit and freshness of the Chardonnay grapes, from maceration on the skins to cold pressing and alcoholic fermentation at controlled temperatures. Half the vintage is matured in one-year-old oak barrels for nine months to achieve a harmonious balance between oaky notes and the freshness of the fruit.
