Every effort has been made to use sustainable packaging: Made use lighter weight bottle (360g v 495g) made from recycled glass, the label is made from recycled paper created from natural fibre based puple derived from sugar cane waste, inks are made with best practices for low environmental impact, packaged in recycled cartons. All aspects of the packaging are recyclable.

Tasting Notes
Deep and bright crimson red appearance. An abundance of plum, dark cherry and chocolate. The palate is rich of ripe dark fruits and mocha oak. Full and generous with refined tannins and a lengthy finish.

History
De Bortoli is a 4th generation family owned Australian wine company established in 1928. Since 2005 we have been committed to sustainability, and the '17 Trees Program' was started in 2008 whereby 17 trees are planted for each company vehicle to offset the effect of our fleet. For every 6 bottles of 17 Trees purchased a tree will be planted in Australia. Scan the QR code on the back of pack for a live tracker of tree planting.

Regional Information
The fruit was sourced from De Bortoli's own Freemans bridge Vineyard positioned in the ancient red Cambrian soils of the Northern Heathcote region.

Vinification Details
Fruit is harvested once balance of fruit ripeness, flavour and acid are achieved. Grapes are then destemmed and fermented for 8-9 days in our Potter fermenters, pressed off skins then the different regions are blended together to create a harmonious Shiraz blend.
