The Authentic Italian taste
Naturally sweet plum tomatoes from Puglia in Southern Italy come from the region that is naturally vacated to this variety; its fertile soil rich in limestone and Mediterranean winds result in the growth of full-bodied tomatoes with a naturally sweet taste. Blanched, peeled and immersed in a rich tomato sauce, they deliver the authentic taste of natural tomato typical of Italy. Great for dishes with a short cooking time such as fish-based recipes, where their "like fresh" taste enhances the flavours. They are also a must when making a real Neapolitan pizza as they are approved by the AVPN (Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana).

In 1856 Francesco Cirio was the first to preserve premium Italian tomatoes and vegetables. Since then, Cirio has been an essential ingredient in every Italian household. Just like our Cirio Pelati.
