We celebrate the lunar calendar of ‘THE YEAR OF THE TIGER’ symbolising power, courage and confidence. Chateau Tanunda, icon of the Barossa, was established in 1890 and is the site of some of Valley’s earliest vines as well as its first winery. The Chateau is privately owned by the Geber family who continue a tradition of fine winemaking spanning three generations.
Chateau Tanunda has been handcrafted in small open fermenters and basket pressed before 15 months of maturation in French and American oak barrels. By combining both traditional and modern winemaking techniques, Château Tanunda are able to produce wines of complexity, depth and intensity.
