History
Born in the small town of Mogege in the heart of the Vinho Verde region in Portugal and nurtured by the team at Casal de Ventozela, a family run independent business that own a small 27 hectares of vineyard.
Vinification Details
Everything is done when making this wine to enhance the clean refreshing wine style. Speed and a considered hand are the best tools to make an appealing rose wine. Grapes are picked in the cool of night to preserve the fresh flavours and picked as quickly as possible.
Colour and flavours are gently extracted so as not to get too much of either, the focus is on elegance and balance. Fermentation is done in immaculately clean stainless steel tanks with temperature control to retain as much of the bright fruit flavours. Once the wine has finished fermenting the wine is settled, cleaned up and made ready for bottling and canning. These wines are as simple to make as winemaking goes - its all about getting a rose wine made with the maximum freshness.
