History
The Bisceglia Estate is an important and dynamic winery offering a range of top quality products. Founded in 2001 by Mario Bisceglia who, after many years spent in the corporate food industry, decided to go back his land and found the winery. The goal is to produce world class wines made with both indigenous and international varietals grown in the Basilicata region. The Bisceglia is comprised of forty hectares of vines in the heart of the Aglianico DOC appellation.

Regional Information
The Bisceglia Estate is situated on the lower slopes of the extinct volcano Mount Vulture in the splendid district of Lavello, officially recognized Wine Town and old farming community in the Basilicata Region in Southern Italy. The Estate extends over uncontaminated hillside rich in flora and fauna, characterized by a Mediterranean microclimate. A natural balance of temperature changes characterizes this terroir, conferring remarkable fertility to calcareous and clay loam soils.

Vinification Details
The grapes are handpicked at the beginning of October and selected in small container. After fermentation in temperature regulated fermentation steel vat at less than 18°C, the wine is refined in a prebottling stage for some 2 months.
