Betty Crocker Red Velvet Cake Mix - 450g

All you need is:
105ml vegetable oil (Tbsp) or 100g melted butter
200ml water or 200ml milk
3 Medium eggs
100g melted butter
1 tub of Betty Crocker Rich Cream Cheese Style or Velvety Vanilla Icing (icing is not included)

Prep time 10 mins
Baking time 23-28 mins
Two 20cm cake tins or Two 12 cupcake muffin tins (and 24 cupcake cases)

3 Simple steps!
Preheat oven to 180C (160C for fan assisted ovens)/Gas Mark 4. For cupcakes use fan assisted oven 160C.
Grease tins and preferably line base with baking parchment or greaseproof paper. For cupcakes line 2 regular muffin tins with cupcake cases.
1. Beat the eggs, water, oil and cake mix (or eggs, milk, butter and cake mix) together and whisk (by hand or electric mixer) for 2-3 minutes until smooth and creamy.
2. Pour into tins. For cupcakes pour mixture into the cupcake cases.
3. Bake 23-28 minutes or until a rounded knife in centre comes out clean. For cupcakes bake the 2 muffin tins at the same time for 18-22 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes in tins then remove from tins. Let to cool completely, fill and ice with Betty Crocker Rich Cream Cheese Style Icing or Velvety Vanilla Icing.

This Red Velvet Cake oozes sophistication with its ruby-coloured, luscious sponge and rich chocolatey flavour. So grab your apron and mixing bowl and fire up your oven to 180C (160C for fan assisted ovens)/Gas Mark 4 - it's baking time!

All you need is:
65ml vegetable oil (4 1/2 tbsp)
205ml water
3 medium free range eggs
1 tub of Betty Crocker Vanilla or Cream Cheese Style Icing
2 x 8\ well-greased cake tins

Only 3 steps to cake heaven...
1. Mix the eggs, oil, water and cake mix gently together and whisk (by hand or electric mixer) for 2-3 minutes until smooth and creamy.

2. Pour the cake mixture evenly into your two greased cake tins.

3. Bake in the centre of the oven for between 23-28 minutes or until a rounded knife inserted fully into the centre of the cake comes out clean, then cool on a wire rack. Sandwich your cakes together with a layer of Betty Crocker Vanilla or Cream Cheese Style Icing before covering with lashings of Icing. Then having admired your creation, enjoy a slice....mmmm gorgeous!
