All you need is:
35ml oil or 42g melted salted butter
65ml water (4 tbsp & 1 teaspoon)
1 medium egg
2 pinches of salt
Prep time 10 mins
Baking time 22-25 mins
20 x 20cm square tin
3 Simple steps!
Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C for fan assisted ovens) / Gas Mark 4. Line square tin with baking paper.
1. Stir egg, water, oil (or melted salted butter) and brownie mix together with a wooden spoon until well blended. Then mix the caramel sauce with 2 pinches of salt in a separate bowl and heat for 30 seconds in the microwave.
2. Pour half of the batter into the prepared tin. Drizzle and spread out the caramel sauce on the brownie batter. Cover with the rest of the brownie batter.
3. Bake for 22-25 mins or until skewer inserted 5 cm from edge of tin comes out almost clean. Cool then slice.
