Place the bread mix in a mixing bowl and rub in the butter until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e2. Gradually add the water using a round bladed knife to combine until a dough is formed.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e3. Tip the dough onto a floured worktop (or place in a food mixer fitted with a dough hook) and knead for about 10 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e4. Place the dough back in the mixing bowl, cover with lightly oiled cling film and leave to rest in a warm place for 1 hour.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e5. Remove the dough from the bowl and knead the dough again for a further 5 minutes. Divide the dough into three. Roll each piece into a length approx. 30cm long. Place the three pieces side by side and plait together. Tuck under the top and bottom to neaten the loaf.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e6. Place the plaited loaf on a greased baking tray. Cover with oiled cling film and leave to rest in a warm place for 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 230°C \/ Fan 210°C \/ Gas Mark 8\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e7. Uncover and bake in the oven for about 25-30 minutes until well risen and lightly golden.
