Following a career as an engineer, Laurent returned home in 1996 to work with his father, Henri (known locally as Monsieur Syrah). Laurent Miquel owns over 200 hectares of vines in the Languedoc: 150 hectares at Château Cazal Viel, and an additional 50 hectares at Château Auzines, in Corbières, where Laurent put down their own roots in 2009.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eGrape variety: Albariño.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eCurrent vintage: 2023.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eRegional information: The estate is located on the southern tip of St Chinian on limestone soils, particularly suited to the production of Syrah, which Henri Miquel was among the first to plant in the 1970s.
