Do not remove any packaging. Do not open or pierce the bag before cooking. Place the bagged chicken in a deep roasting tray and cook in the centre of the oven for the calculated time on the front of pack (40 minutes per 1kg plus an additional 20 minutes). Avoid the bag coming into contact with open flame or heating element. If you want the skin to be more crisp, remove the chicken from the oven at the end of cooking time and open the bag by cutting around the dotted line with a knife or scissors. Return the chicken to the oven for the final 10 minutes. Caution: take care when opening the bag as steam may escape. Take extra care when removing from the oven and opening the bag as it will contain hot cooking juices. To ensure the chicken is fully cooked, insert a skewer into the thickest part of the meat.
