To request a refund due to order issues, you must make your request within 7 days of delivery.

Let us know as soon as possible if your order—

  • Is missing items that you were charged for on the final receipt

  • Contains damaged, spoiled, or otherwise unusable items

Please note that you must return each item in the same condition in which you received it. This means that new items must be returned unused and undamaged. Used items must not have any additional signs of use or damage. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
Refunds are processed immediately, but it may take 5-10 business days to see the funds in your bank or credit card account, depending on your bank. You won't see refunds in your McGrocer account.

Exceptions / non-returnable items
The following products thus cannot be returned (unless defective):

  • Like goods which may deteriorate, expire rapidly or raise other food safety concerns

  • Custom products (such as special orders or personalized items),

  • Personal care goods (such as beauty products) due to health protection or hygienic reasons if unsealed by you after delivery, or which are, after delivery, inseparably mixed with other items.

  • We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

  • Alcoholic beverages whose actual value is dependent on fluctuations in the market which the supplier cannot control

  • We cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

  • A service, if the supplier has fully performed it and you accepted when you placed your order that the supplier could start to deliver it, and that you could not cancel it once delivery had started;

Damages and Issues

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.


The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.


We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
