In the 1930's, the Japanese scientist Dr Shirota selected and cultivated a unique strain of bacteria, L. casei Shirota, which is scientifically proven to reach the gut alive! Today Yakult Light fermented milk drink contains billions of this bacteria and is enriched with vitamins. Vitamin D which supports the maintenance of normal bones and muscle function. Plus vitamin E which contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.
